First impressions

I was having dinner with a couple of my friends last night and some how we got on the subject of what each person remembered about me the first time we met. It was actually quite interesting hearing from each of them what about me first stood out. I will have to say that it looks like I may have some things to work on. :) I know this may be dangerous but I'm actually curious...what do you remember most about the first time we met? Be honest I really want to know!..good or bad

I think my first real impression of you was when we went to the sounds game and Bobby and I rode with you and Jeremy. I don't think he said a word and you were pretty convinced you were going to get married even though you were not even engaged at that point. I thought you were funny but willing to get your point across.

This may sound corny, but I was just so glad to meet you (because I had heard so much about you) that I don't remember anything about it except that we were in the sanctuary at church (oh, and that I wished I was tiny like you but hey that is a whole other blog post right????)

Seems like some pushy little girl/woman was convinced my wife and I HAD to come to her connect group. Then, once there, the same pushy little girl/woman said we could not be back row baptist in class! Pushy comes to mind, but also, an open heart to allow to strangers into her life. From that, my wife has one of her "bestest friends ever", so I am very glad you "pushed" your way into our lives!

thank you to those who participated! Karen I remember meeting you and hearing your last name. I said "like us southerners pronounce Ranch?" I still think of that when someone asks me!

Brea I know exactly when you're talking about too!! although my first real memory of you ws on the trip to Cincinnati...I will never forget that!! :)

Ray..pushy? ME? No way?!!! I just couldn't stand you being back row Baptist. I'm glad I made you come to the front...our families have been on some journeys together and I can honestly say I'm glad y'all were there!

I wouldn't say that you were pushy towards Jennifer and I. I would use the term "As of a matter of fact" with us. You were very confident that Long Hollow was the place that we needed to be.

Also, while you had the "Church is the place to be" face on, I could tell you knew how to have a good time in the right setting.

I just remember meeting you on the softball field along with everyone else. You all made me at home right away. And of course, you met the rest of the fam and had me, Ron and Anna connected in Sunday School in no time! Thanks for your willingness to step out and invite people in!
