I need to start working out hard core. Jeremy and I helped out in a 3 year old class today at church and as I sat on the floor playing with the kids one of the little girls sitting next to me asked "do you have a baby in your belly?". "No honey, he's been out for almost 5 months now!". Like they say , out of the mouths of babes.
Then to make matters worse, I came home and change shirts just to be more comfortable as we had a birthday party to go to. so as I scouted out things to wear I decided on a green shirt that, yes, was a maternity shirt. It doesn't really look like a maternity shirt and it's ultra comfy. Again as I was sitting on the floor getting Gracie to go Jeremy says, "why are you wearing Gracie's shirt?" Of course I said I wasn't and then he preceded to say "well it looks tight". AHHHHHH seriously??? Needless to say I changed AGAIN, this time into one of my notorious pink T-shirts (I have 3 that I rotate!). And yes I plan to join a fitness place in October!!

Have your voice heard!!!!
I'm not one to normally get caught up in politics but the recent government bailout has got me intrigued. I hate to say that I'm unsympathetic but I just don't understand how the government is justifying this. I am sympathetic to those who had a life change thus resulting in possible foreclosure but to the person who didn't have a job and obviously was never going to be able to pay their mortgage...um not so much. I mean what about those of us who do pay our mortgage on time? Will we be getting a Christmas bonus for behaving correctly? no actually the government is wanting to penalize us and make us pay even more to help out those companies whose CEOs are making millions....not sure that adds up to me.
With that said, as I was listening to Dave Ramsey today he laid out a plan, that seems pretty simple, allowing Congress to help the nation's financial situation without spending $700 billion dollars. You can listen to it here...it's short~like less than 10 minutes. After listening I hope you will go here and contact your Congress men/women telling them "NO" to the $700 billion and to change the accounting rule "mark to market".

Happy birthday Carleigh!
A busy, busy weekend
I don't normally do weekend updates but we did so much this past weekend I thought I would share it with you. On Friday I got out early (10am but hey it's early for me!) and went to Kohls to do a little shopping. My mother in law had an additional 30% off coupon that she graciously allowed me to use too so I was able to get some great buys. Afterwards we drove through Chick-Fil-A for lunch (gas at this time was still $3.49 per gallon) and then off to Wal-Mart for more shopping. Once we got home I put the kids down for a quick nap and then headed off to my nephew's birthday party in Springfield.
On Saturday morning we got up and started doing things around the house preparing for Carleigh's birthday party @ 3pm. For those of you who know me, you know that I can be somewhat of a procrastinator so at about noon Jeremy's mom came over so we could go and finish our shopping. Yes here it was 3 hours prior to the party and we had yet to purchase the birthday girls' gift so the first stop was Target. I had done research the night before on what we wanted to get her and found Target to have it about $20 cheaper, however once we got to the store realized they didn't have it so off to Toys 'R Us we went. Luckily they had plenty so we grabbed it up, purcahsed it, and off to the next store. The next hour or so went like this...balloons, cake and chips, buns, cups, and ice cream. Yes 5 stores in an hour and a half all but 1 in Rivergate on Saturday around lunch. I'm telling you it was nothing short of the grace of God that we were able to get it all accomplished so fast!
By 3 I was already worn out but excited for the party. I'm not really a crafty person so we just had over family and a few friends who were more than happy to play outside. We did the traditional hot dogs, chips, cake and ice cream, and then a pinata. Unfortanetly I don't have pictures of hitting the pinata because the batteries in my camera died :(. Here though are some random pictures of the day.......
Thank you to all who came and celebrated with us...we love you guys!
On Sunday Jeremy and I "celebrated" 6 years of marriage. I say it that way because we really didn't do anything but lounge around the house until it was time for us to go to a wedding. A friend of mine that I've played softball with for about 4 years was getting married. I told her that she didn't have to throw us such a big party for our anniversary but she insisted so we took her up on her offer! :) It will be fun sharing an anniversary with them as they are a really fun couple....congratualtions Kevin and Lacey! Here are a couple of pictures of us at the wedding....and no I can not take a good picture to save my life.
So there you have it, a whirlwind of a weekend but spent with family and friends we love...I wouldn't change a thing.

He changed me
Yes this could most definitely be a post about how God has changed me, however that's not what it's about. The other night I was eating marshmellows and realized that prior to Jeremy I didn't eat marshmellows. Not that they are bad but in my family we just didn't eat them. That started me thinking about other things I now do since meeting Jeremy...eating Mexican (my dad doesn't like it so my mom didn't fix it), the way I fold towels, the way we put our cups in the cabinet, using fabric softner, and fruit snacks jsut to name a few. It's funny because all of these are now such apart of me I don't really think about it.
is there anything that you do or don't do now that is different than when you and your spouse first started dating?

In case you ever wanted to know....
The other day Laura tagged me on her blog because she could and apparently she thinks I'm fun enough to play along so here it goes.
6 things you may/may not know about me:
1. I graduated in the top 10% of my high school class, however up until about 2 weeks before graduation I had a 34 in English. It really wasn't my fault though. Our printer @ home wasn't the best so I had typed a paper at a friends house and she wouldn't bring it to me.
2. I LOVE trivia!
3. I L-O-V-E game shows. Put this with #2 and I'm in hog heaven.
4. I had cat scratch fever when I was about 3. Yes it is real and not just a song. We had a crazy cat that apparently scratched me, which got infected and had to be drained. It was on my neck so in order to drain it I had to be put into a straight jacket and Velcroed to a board but I managed to get a leg out and kicked a doctor in the nose.
5.I have an excellent memory, especially when it comes to numbers and people. If you don't want me to remember something don't tell me because I can't help it. It actually comes in handy and pretty sure it freaks out most people but hey that's the way I roll.
6. I have only been to Florida twice~the first time on our honeymoon and the other when Gracie was 3 months old. Trust me it's not a good idea to go so soon after having a baby~I'm surprised ORRCA wasn't called.
So there you have it! And now it's my turn to do the tagging......

Uppercase Living
Yes I know this is my 3rd post in 1 day but hey I'm trying to catch up. Next Tuesday September 9 I am hosting an Uppercase Living party at my house. If you're not familiar with this company go here to check them out. A quick summary is that they sell vinyl (?) lettering used in home decorating. Actually it's being used for all sorts of things now, like the family stick pictures you see on some vehicles, and is a great way to decorate without putting holes in your walls. Oh and did I mention how reasonable the prices are. So if you are reading this you are invited, SERIOUSLY you ARE and you can bring a friend!! If you can't make it but would like to order something let me know and I'll hook you up! The party starts at 6pm~let me know if you need directions~I hope to see you there.
Like father like...
Daughter! I was looking for Carleigh (she loves to play hide-n-seek and is really good at it) when I walked into the bathroom and saw this:
What you don't realize and I hope this isn't too much information, is that on any given day this is exactly how you can find Jeremy...going potty while playing on his phone. Okay so maybe it is TMI but it just wouldn't have been as funny if I didn't give you the background. While I'm at it, here is a picture I snapped the other day...
Yeah pretty sure he's just like his daddy too!
