Yes I can be a random person! Here are some questions I've been pondering these first couple days of the new year:
*Why does the post office not have a drive-thru? Or at least some sort of ATM type machine just to purchase stamps? Like I want to take both of my girls out of the car in the FREEZING cold just to buy a book of stamps!!!
*Why do the movie theaters get away with charging an arm and a leg for candy? I guess I can understand the popcorn thing but come on they charge $3.00 for the same bag of candy that I can go to the store and pay $1.50 for. (I know, I know...just go to the store first)
*Where can I find a really good cookbook with real recipes? I'm a southern girl at heart and I just want some meat and potato recipes!!! I hate trying to find something new to cook and only finding froo froo (sp?) recipes.
These are a just a few, stay tuned for more!

I think you can buy stamps at the grocery store and if you go to USPS.com I think you can order them and your letter carrier will bring them to you! :) Beats getting the kids out of the car in the freezing cold.
Yeah, go to the store first before the movies. ;)
As far as cookbooks I am a big fan of the Betty Crocker Cookbook. Another friend recomended The Joy of Cooking.
Cookbooks, um.... Rachael Ray!! Real recipes girl, in 30 minutes, for real, I cook many of hers. Most of them anyway. Anybody from Food Network, and being a Southern girl, you can't beat Paula Deen!! Love that woman!! She has cookbooks and a magazine sub. with recipes in that.
I could go on and on about cooking!!

Well crap my answers have already been taken - start buying your stamps in the check-out line at Publix or Kroger. Sneak in your own candy to the movies. And you need to go to Kraft.com to get your free subscription to their recipe magazine - you can even make your own recipe box on their website. I use Sandra Lee & Paula Deen recipes a lot, along with the Long Hollow & Hall Family cookbook, maybe I'll send you one as a housewarming present!
Umm, what do you need stamps for??? You really should never need them if you pay bills online and use email. What are you mailing letters to your Grandma?? If so, you shouldn't be using tons and tons, right? Shouldn't one trip a year (okay or when they up their stamp prices) do you?
Umm, movies, I guess b'c they can. And, to encourage us to rent DVD's?
I look at Kraft online for recipes www.kraftfoods.com. Easy, you can enter what ingredients you do have, the ones you don't, and they are usually quick, meat and potato type recipes (as opposed to shrimp a la mein or chicken au pair fru fru)! I also like www.allrecipes.com because there are reviews and ratings of the recipes and people say there was too much flour or not enough sugar, etc etc. I don't love Rachel Ray - her cookbooks don't have pictures - I like pictures.
I hope I didn't stupid! :) I do know that you can buy stamps @ the grocery store however I always go to Wal-Mart and I don't think they sell them. Also, on-line banking still sort of scares me, don't ask me why. so yes I still buy stamps and there are also a couple of places that don't accept on-line paying.
I guess I'll have to check out the Paula Dean cookbook (she does love butter you know Kim!!). This is one of my New Year's resolutions (I only have 2) so be ready to hera alot about this subject this year!!
Sarah don't you like Lobster Thermador?!?! :) But if you watch Rachael Ray shows alot of her recipes she cooks on her show and you can see it there. Your so funny though, I know what you mean about complicated and expensive meals!!!
Can you for real buy stamps at the grocery store?? Where have I been?

Random questions deserve random answers......
1. You can order stamps online these days just like everything else.
2. Don't you know you are supposed to sneak candy in? And for those of you saying that is so wrong....you know you have done it too.
3. Just add Crisco...to everything...yes everything......it'll make you fat and happy.
Great post! I've often wondered why these isn't some type of drive through convenience store where you can pick up food necessities, over the counter meds, toilet paper...the kind of stuff you don't want to get 2 kids out of car seats for!
these are great!
