Cravings

Isn't it funny how when you're pregnant you crave certain things? when I was pregnant with Gracie I craved M&Ms. The funny thing was that it HAD to be the big bag. I wanted to be able to rake my fingers through them. It cracked the ladies at work up because the normal bag that is sold OTC just wouldn't cut it. Then with Carleigh there wasn't really a specific but it had to be sweet. Now with this pregnancy I crave french fries and chips. What do/did you crave while being pregnant?

I craved Cola Icees with Avery- not such a great thing with the caffeine. With Aidan I craved Starbuck Mocha Frappucinos- I ended up getting them decaf. That was before there was a Starbucks at glenbrook so every evening Jim would go over to the Starbucks on main street- he said he felt like Norm from Cheers when he pulled up to the window- all of the starbucks people knew him. :)
I need to get with you about organizing- would you go shopping with me to buy organizational stuff- you see I dojn't even know what I need to get organized- ha!

I craved Cucumbers! How weird. Normally they would give me serious heartburn, but when I was pregant, not once! I remember for dinner one night Kasey asked me what I was hungry for, I told him just cucumbers. He went to Food Lion and bought about 5...I didn't season them or cut them, I just chomped them like a dog would a bone!
As soon as I delivered, I can't eat them without heartburn...go figure!

I was cracking up over the part about the M&M bag size. It reminds me of how I think I need a ton of ice in everything I drink. If I'm at someone's house and they hand me a glass with 2-3 ice cubes in the bottom of it, I feel a little offended. I can't explain it, really, because I don't eat the ice. Maybe it's the way it hits my face or something, although that sounds pretty crazy.

Anyway, during my first pregnancy I craved peanut brittle and apple juice. I'm not sure where the peanut brittle idea came from, but I do have somewhat of an explanation for the apple juice. I was watching a re-run of The Cosby Show one day, and saw Bill and Rudy drinking some. From that point on, I decided that apple juice went pretty well with my peanut brittle...Extra ice, please!

Susan I would love to go shopping for organizational stuff but first I'll have to see what we're dealing with :) Give me a couple of weeks and we'll get together!

I'm literally about to do a post on this same thing. I'm reading through blogs and literally have it inside my head to write after I get done reading... :)

With McKinley I just remember sitting at a red light looking at Taco Bell thinking, "If I don't have that right now I will die!" With Jack it was Coke - couldn't get enough - and sausage & biscuits, fixed one nearly every morning.

ooh, so many things. With Anna I craved Petros and Chicken Meximelts at Taco Bell. Did I mention that I would get sick on those things and go order more? Sick, I know.

With the boys, I was so freaking sick that I never wanted to eat but I drank apple juice like it was water.

Now I just crave peace and quiet and a vacation
